Work is progressing on the former Restaurantosaurus restaurant at Animal Kingdom, as the area undergoes a transformation into Tropical Americas. Construction activity near the site reveals a mix of excavators, rocks, and disturbed earth, with wooden structures and concrete blocks in place. The Restaurantosaurus building remains largely unchanged, but construction materials and equipment are now surrounding it. A large hole has appeared in front of the former Dinosaur Treasures gift shop, with excavators nearby. The exterior of the upcoming Encanto attraction building looks similar to its previous state. DinoLand U.S.A. is being phased out, with its various attractions and shops closing between January 2025 and February 2026. The area will be replaced by Tropical Americas, which will feature the fictional village of Pueblo Esperanza. The expansive hacienda depicted in the concept art is the former Restaurantosaurus, and the Indiana Jones attraction will take the place of the DINOSAUR ride. The carousel will be located in the center, while the reimagined Dinosaur Treasures will be nearby. The transformation of DinoLand U.S.A. into Tropical Americas is a significant change for Disney World visitors, and the progress on the construction site is a clear indication of the upcoming changes.
