Everley's arrival is especially poignant considering the couple's past struggles. It comes after a pregnancy loss and, crucially, over two years after Hayley Erbert Hough, now 31 years old, underwent life-saving brain surgery.
Hayley bravely shared her experience, including an emergency craniectomy, in a December Instagram post. She reflected on her recovery, saying, “I’ve reclaimed parts of myself I thought I’d never find again… What a miracle it is that two years ago I was fighting for my life… and now, here I am creating life.” This testament to her resilience is truly inspiring.
Derek Hough, 40 years old, previously expressed his excitement about becoming a father on "Good Morning America" in August 2025. He shared his anticipation, saying, "It’s something I’ve been dreaming of for so long, can’t wait. I’m excited."
