Gojira's Joe Duplantier Faces Hand Surgery, Car Bomb's Greg Kubacki Steps In
In a recent turn of events, Gojira's frontman and guitarist, Joe Duplantier, has undergone hand surgery, leaving him unable to perform guitar duties for the band's upcoming shows in France. But here's where it gets controversial... Duplantier has invited Car Bomb's guitarist, Greg Kubacki, to step in and fill his shoes on stage.
Duplantier shared an update, writing, "I hurt my hand a few weeks ago, and after a minor surgery, I'm on the road to recovery. However, I won't be able to play my guitar parts for the upcoming tour in France.
But fear not, Gojira fans! We've got an incredible solution. Our good friend @carbombgreg from the mighty @carbombofficial has graciously agreed to 'Give us a hand' (pun intended!). The band is excited for this unique experience, and we're ready to rock our home turf.
This move might just be the catalyst for Gojira to delve deeper into their album 'The Way of All Flesh'. Duplantier has previously expressed the challenge of performing and singing those tracks live. So, will we see a different set list on this tour?
