With the score at 4-3 in the 10th end, Gushue held the last rock, putting the pressure on Koe. Koe needed to steal the end to force an extra round, but Gushue's strategic play sealed the deal, resulting in a final score of 5-3.

But the trials continue! This morning, Team Gushue takes on John Epping at 9:30 NST. And if that wasn't enough, they'll face the top-ranked Canadian team, the Dunstone rink, in the final draw of the night.
